Prairie Vascular Research Inc. is a non-profit charitable organization aimed at promoting research in Canada with a special focus on prairies population. Its mandate is to promote research both in terms of recruiting patients from the prairies in international trials and facilitating investigator-initiated trials aimed at answering questions pertinent to the prairies. It also provides a structure for trainees to develop skills and relationships with mentors so that they can start their journey in medical research.
Dr. John Day is a cardiologist specializing in the treatment of atrial fibrillation and other abnormal heart rhythm conditions at the Intermountain Medical Center Heart Institute in Salt Lake City, Utah. He received his medical degree from John Hopkins and completed his residency and fellowships in cardiovascular medicine and cardiac electrophysiology at Stanford University. Dr. John Day is board certified in cardiology and cardiac electrophysiology.
